LA 1 – Phase 2 – Golden Meadow to Leesville

Huval and Associates is tasked with providing design and construction engineering support services for Phase 2 of the LA 1 bridge project connecting LA 1 in Golden Meadow, LA to the LA 1 Bridge connection in Leesville, LA.

This phase of the project seeks to construct a 10 mile span of marsh causeway running parallel with the current LA 1 highway that sits at sea level.

The bridge project utilizes the design of a gantry crane system that enables the continuous deployment of steel piles that are used to support the crane system and subsequently the bridge.

This project is essential in keeping Port Fourchon operational as it is a main transport hub for Louisiana’s offshore oil and gas industry.

This phase of the project is expected to be completed in July of 2027.
