HISTORY OF HUVAL
Huval
& Associates, Inc. is an engineering consulting firm established in 1989 in
Lafayette, Louisiana by David S. Huval, Sr. and his two sons.
The firm employed four people primarily offering engineering design and
construction services to the local area and to the Louisiana Department of
Transportation and Development.
Today,
the firm employs about 30 people, is licensed in 12 states, and performs engineering
design and construction engineering services in over 20 states and three
countries. The management staff has
over 150 years of combined experience in design and construction and has the
supporting staff to meet demands of the current business environment.
HUVAL
is multi-disciplined, and its diversified practice provides complete civil and
structural engineering solutions. HUVAL
employs 12 engineers of which 7 are registered professional engineers and 5 are
engineer interns. The
licensed engineers have over 65 years of design experience and have managed
design projects for over 45 years. The
engineers are licensed in civil (6), structural (1), environmental (2), chemical
(1), and land surveying (1). The
company highly supports the licensing procedure and works with each intern to
support and offer any assistance in obtaining their license.
Staff
operations are efficient and responsive both in the field and in the office.
The team is competent in several structural design packages including
CONSPAN, STAAD, and SACS and is proficient in several load rating software
packages. HUVAL employs a survey
crew using TDS data collectors and land development software.
HUVAL also employs a team of CAD technicians to present the engineering
solutions.
Huval & Associates, Inc. is professionally licensed for Civil Engineering in Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and also holds Environmental Engineering license in Louisiana. We employ four registered Civil Professional Engineers, two registered Environmental Engineers, one registered Chemical Professional Engineer, five Junior Engineers, one Industrial Technologist, six AutoCAD draftsmen, two estimators, one 3-man survey crew, and five administrative personnel.
David S. Huval, Sr., Principal of Firm, has over 40 years of Civil Engineering experience with Bridge and Building Design, coordination between State and Federal Agencies, Contract Administration, Contractor Coordination, Construction Planning, and Construction Management. The firm employs over 150 years of engineering Experience to help consult, design, and/or manage your projects.
